In Loving Memory of Jack Edward Watts

Jun07

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~Kahlil Gibran Jack Edward Watts passed away peacefully in his 86th year, on June 5, 2010. Jack was raised in St. Jean, Quebec. When he was 17 years old he joined the RCAF and bravely served his country in WWII and the Korean War. After the war, Jack became a test pilot for the first fighter jets that were acquired by the RCAF. In 1956 he married Madeleine Dubois, the love of his life. They had two children, Mark and Debbie and raised their family in Montreal, Quebec. After a successful career in the printing and packaging industries, Jack and Madeleine moved to Edmonton to be closer to family and enjoy their latter retirement years at Lakeside Estates. HE loved Gina and Gordon and he was so proud of his grandchildren, Taylor, Matthew, Clayton, Sarah and Cole. Jack lived his life to its fullest and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. He was an educated man and an articulate writer who had an appreciation for life. He will be remembered mostly for his generous spirit, compassion, for he was truly a gentle man. Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. At Jack’s request, there will be no funeral service.

A celebration of Jack’s life will take place on Thursday, June 10th from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at his place of residence; Lakeside Estates, 2750 55th Street, Edmonton. We would love to see you.
