My last few days before Miss Teen Canada- Word were full of excitement and adventure.
I was able to spend three days in Montreal before flying to Toronto and in those three days I was able to visit old Montreal.
I learnt that old Montreal is the oldest area in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, dating all the way back to New France! The buildings are a major tourist draw as they date
back to the 1600s, and as one of the oldest urban areas in North America it is in fantastic shape. I walked down Rue Saint-Paul, saw the Notre-Dame Basilica, and even got my caricature done!
I was also able to visit a bagel shop, one the makes "the best bagels in the world!"
I learnt the St-Viature Bagel shop has been a central part of the cultural experience in Montreal. You can Even Order their famous bagels on-line...yummm. If you want to learn more about the St. Viature bagels shop visit their website at http://www.stviateurbagel.com
But I wasn't done there! I also visited Mount Royal at night to see the beautiful city of Montreal all lit up.Before I was off to the airport I was lucky enough to go visit the Olympic Stadium! I enjoyed the views that the observatory had to offer. It was incredible.
Next Stop Toronto!
It's true, Montreal style bagels are the best...see you in Toronto!
